I've been watching and learning about Xion the last few weeks and it is impressive what the team has built to "hide" successfully the complexity of Web3 to pitch it to Web2 companies.
The long list of brands as customers is proof of that.
Seeing the activities on Xion since last month and also different kinds of interviews and yapping rewards for the Korean / (Chinese) community, it seems that Xion is trying to get a foothold in the Korean Market.
Activities that undermine this thesis are:
- Interviews on different major Korean TV and news business outlets.
- KBW Speaker.
- Yapper Allocation for the KR community.
As I consult several projects on GTM strategies in the Korean market and while yapping about Xion, I've seen different strategies that Xion is currently running.
I've written these tips also in different posts in Korean, but would love to have @BurntBanksy read it, so I'm writing it again in English, very direct and plain.
- To create a Korean community, you will need a dedicated Korean-speaking local representing you guys here. Call it a CM (community manager) or Marketing Manager, but without that, you will need at least a trustworthy GTM company that will take care of it. DM me if you want some recommendations.
Having your own channel of an active Korean community is key to showing your strength in this market. If you don't have it, you are not really represented here.
- Get Korean companies onboarded and talk about it. As you may know, the bigger the better. The mood here in Korea is also changing with Crypto, so companies are currently trying a bit more to get into the Web3 Market. Get in contact with a great GTM company or find yourself a good partner that can connect you with relevant companies to partner with / use XION as infrastructure. Use your time at KBW, make the meetings before that timing. If you don't have a Korean GTM company, at least ask @FACTBLOCK as they also have good contacts.
- At the moment, Koreans don't know the token $XION and what it represents. That will need a lot of marketing to change it. GTM companies have the contacts to all relevant KOLs to spread the message.
